Vineyards
The roots of Champagne Boutrop lie in the heart of the Montagne de Reims.
Here the vines grow peacefully, projecting Mother Nature’s very soul into the grapes.
The majority of the grapes used for vinification originate from Verzenay, Mailly-Champagne, Louvois and Ambonnay, all Grand Crus. Our Pinot Meunier comes from Chigny-Les-Roses and Rilly-la-Montagne, Premier Crus.
Vinification
Quality is of paramount importance. That is why only the juices from the very first gentle press are used to create our Champagnes. This extract is purest, most delicate and elegant.
Vinification is done in stainless steel tanks.
Maturation
All our cuvées spend a minimum of three years in the cellars. Allowing time to do its job in developing mature aromas as well as creating more roundness and finesse. During this important period of time, the cuvées blossom into excellence, representing the best version of themselves.
History
Champagne Boutrop started with a passion of a Dutch family. For over two decades they have been traveling to the Champagne region gaining knowlegde and insight in the art op producing Champagne.
This proces led to them having a close relationship with some of their favorite houses and winegrowers, even engaging in certain business aspects.
Naturally, in 2015 the family wanted to create their own Champagne with their own brand. In coöperation with one of their trusted winegrowers, they worked towards a Champagne blend that expresses the family taste.
